I've been seeing all the talk about how he's one of the worst villagers and it made me nervous to find out why. I haven't done his events yet cause I'm working in chunks. But anyway, seeing how he gouges prices of crops I GREW ON MY FARM, and ...Pierre can be found running his general store each day between 9am and 5pm (except Wednesday when the store is closed). After work each day he leaves the store counter and moves around his home. On Friday evening after work, he walks to the saloon to socialize, provided it is not raining. If you sell to Pierre but don't buy from Pierre the difference is taking money out of his pockets. No real difference. Box does count for achievements and such, selling to Pierre doesn't, but it's easy enough to not matter. Pierre will give you money right away, so good to sell excess to buy seeds if needed. It doesn't matter on the quality but ... Pierre is a local of Pelican town who runs the General Store. The store also serves as his home, where he lives with his daughter Abigail and wife Caroline. Through dialogue from Pierre and Caroline, we learn that Abigail may not be his daughter. The two have a strained relationship but overall, they still care for each other.So that's my theory.
